Center for Academic Achievement
The Center for Academic Achievement (CAA) is FGCU’s on-campus learning center dedicated to supporting students throughout their academic journey. The CAA provides free academic and instructional support resources to students ranging from writing support to peer coaching and tutoring for subject-specific course support. We can accommodate students’ busy schedules with both in-person and virtual appointment options in addition to drop-in services.
Students learn various strategies to be successful in and outside of the classroom through our Academic Success and Instructional Support Programs. CAA Academic Coaching helps students with essential skills such as time management, test taking, study strategies, goal setting, and motivation. Our Peer Tutors and Supplemental Instruction Leaders provide free support for a wide range of subjects and courses. Writing Lab services assist students in developing their abilities with prewriting, writing, and revising strategies, and work with students to facilitate improvement in mechanics and documentation format.
