The Adult-Gero Primary Care NP (AGPCNP) certificate is designed for certified advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) who hold a master’s or doctoral degree in nursing and want to add another APRN role.

The AGPCNP certificate is designed for APRNs interested in adding a specialization in the care of patients across the lifespan from adolescence (13 years and older) to the end of life. This program prepares advanced practice nurses to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care addressing self-limiting and chronic health issues.

The curriculum provides a strong evidence-based foundation to manage complex health conditions, emphasizing geriatric care and the unique needs of older adults. Students will engage in extensive clinical practice, gaining valuable experience in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and long-term care facilities. Graduates will be eligible to sit for the AGPCNP certification exam, equipping them to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to adult and geriatric populations.

The Adult-Gero Primary Care NP Certificate will seek accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and be accredited in Spring 2028.
