PHH 3050 - Ancient Philosophy (3 Credits )
Grounds Philosophy majors in the core ideas and figures of ancient Philosophy (including the pre-Socratics) as well as Roman, and Medieval Philosophy (up to and including St. Thomas Aquinas).
PHH 3500 - Late Modern: Kant to Hegel (3 Credits )
This course offers students the opportunity to carefully examine, analyze, and reflect on the major works of Immanuel Kant and G.W.F. Hegel, two of the most influential and groundbreaking philosophers of the last 250 years.

PHH 3801 - Self in Asian Philosophies (3 Credits )
A study of the nature of the self through an examination of canonical and contemporary philosophical writings from Asia. Topics include the nature of the self, the structure of consciousness, and the self in relation to others, to nature, and to the external world. Students also engage with philosophical writings on the methods and the challenges of cross-cultural philosophy.
PHH 3930 - Special Topics in Philosophy (3 Credits )

PHH 3931 - ST: History of Philosophy (3 Credits )
Covers a Philosophical era, movement or theme, taking into account the connection between ideas and their historical context. Topic varies by semester, may be repeated.
PHH 4051 - Modern Philosophy (3 Credits )
Grounds majors in the core ideas and figures of the modern period, beginning with Descartes and covering Rationalist, Empiricist, and Kantian and Neo-Kantian Philosophy.
