EDE 4930  -  Spec Topics in Elem Educ  (3 Credits )  
The special topic will be discussed in depth based on current research and required observations in the field. The student will examine the applicability to classroom practice.
EDE 4936  -  Senior Seminar- Elem Ed  (3 Credits )  
Capstone experience taken concurrently with the final internship. Trends and issues within the field of early childhood education are examined from the perspective of the final internship experience.

EDE 4940  -  Internship: Elementary Ed  (9 Credits )  
Provides a supervised internship in elementary education where candidates assume full teaching responsibilities. Emphasizes the demonstration of effective instructional strategies, classroom management, and professional conduct in a school or agency-based placement.

EDE 4942  -  Integrated Field Exp; Elem. Ed  (3 Credits )  
Provides a supervised field experience in a special education setting where candidates observe instruction and begin to demonstrate teaching practices. Emphasizes gradual assumption of instructional responsibilities in school or agency-based placements.

Teachers in K-12 will refine and gain greater expertise in clinical teaching, peer support, and supervision of interns and beginning teachers and apply state standards for students and teachers.
