DAA 1500 - Jazz Dance (3 Credits )
This course is designed to introduce fundamentals of jazz techniques. Dynamic range, rhythmic awareness, and isolations of the body are explored.
DAA 2105 - Contemporary Dance I (2 Credits )
This course is designed to introduce students to the concepts and the vocabulary of contemporary dance. Students will learn basic locomotor and non-locomotor movements, and will develop an understanding of the concepts of alignment, spatial awareness and movement dynamics.

DAA 2205 - Ballet I (2 Credits )
This course is designed to develop an awareness of the concepts and vocabulary of ballet dance. Students will be introduced to elementary ballet technique with an emphasis on alignment, control, and development of the feet with proper awareness of style and musicality.

DAA 2610 - Dance Composition (3 Credits )
This course is designed to give students a broad introduction to dance composition. Students will learn to generate and manipulate movement through improvisation, choreography, and other exercises.
DAA 3108 - Contemporary Dance II (3 Credits )
This course further develops the skills and concepts introduced in Contemporary Dance I. The emphasis will be on a greater level of technical proficiency and a heightened kinesthetic, spatial and musical awareness. Improvisation will be used to further develop creative expression.

DAA 3208 - Ballet II (3 Credits )
This course further develops the skills and concepts introduced in Ballet I. The emphasis will be on a greater level of technical proficiency with more extensive work on turns and grand allegro.
