Computer Networks (CNT)

Covers fundamental concepts and modern technologies in network software development at the application and TCP/IP level, as well as essential knowledge of the architectures, models and performance evaluation of computer communication software. Team project is a major part of this course.

This course provides a foundation in the fundamentals of network security defense including intrusion detection and firewalls. Students will examine advanced topics such as security policies, packet filtering and analysis, perimeter defense, virtual private networks, and network traffic signatures.
